Overview

Mantralayam, located on the banks of the Tungabhadra River in Andhra Pradesh, is a revered spiritual town famous as the abode of Sri Raghavendra Swamy, one of the greatest saints and philosophers of the Dvaita school of Vedanta. The highlight of this pilgrimage destination is the Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt, where devotees from across India come to seek blessings and experience peace.

The town is known for its serene atmosphere, ancient traditions, and daily rituals carried out at the mutt. The Brindavana (sacred tomb) of Sri Raghavendra Swamy is the central attraction, where continuous prayers, sevas, and bhajans create a divine ambience. Visitors can also explore nearby attractions such as the Panchamukhi Anjaneya Swamy Temple, situated about 20 km away, and the picturesque riverbanks that offer a peaceful retreat.

Mantralayam is not only a spiritual hub but also a place where one can experience the simplicity of rural Andhra Pradesh, local vegetarian cuisine, and the cultural practices that revolve around devotion and service.
